Restaurant Black Smoke brings serious BBQ to the heart of Antwerp, offering a bar, a BBQ restaurant, and a rooftop bar where everything revolves around one thing: craftsmanship. At Black Smoke, we mix American BBQ traditions with local influences to create a rock-your-socks-off BBQ experience.
Our pitmasters tame blazing flames in their hell’s kitchen, where Yankee-style ‘low & slow’ BBQ dishes are prepared on wood-fired smokers and ‘hot & fast’ grill classics are cooked on the unique Argentine parrilla grill. Meanwhile, Belgium’s Best Bartenders shake up award-winning cocktails and pour ultra-locally-crafted beers straight from the cellar.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Handling and optimizing reservations
Preparing the dining room perfectly according to the floor plan
Staying informed about all specials and recommendations
Welcoming guests and guiding them to their table
Providing explanations and advice on the drinks and food menus
Presenting the specials of the day
Taking orders and processing them through the cash register system
Serving food and beverages, including upselling when appropriate
Monitoring guest satisfaction throughout their visit
Clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests
Handling payments
PROFILE
Food, drinks, and hospitality are part of your DNA, and a solid general knowledge of food and beverages is a strong plus. You are a team player with a positive attitude and professional appearance, and you have excellent communication skills. You are guest- and service-oriented and can perfectly anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests.
In addition, you are flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to perform well under pressure. You already have some experience in a similar role.

We offer a salary according to industry standards, meal vouchers, eco vouchers, and the possibility to perform up to 360 gross-to-net overtime hours per year.
